It combines everything I love in a cocktail – tequila, some spice, something green, and of course – ZERO SUGAR! This recipe uses the best easy hack for cucumber juice that will make you look seriously fancy, and make your drinks extra refreshing. But if you’re looking to cut back on the sugar (for your health or just to avoid a hangover) – this drink is for you. Cover and shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker has frosted. Add 3 handfuls of ice and stir until cold (this is important to dilute the drink, much like you would when shaking it into a cocktail shaker ). Pour tequila, triple sec, lime juice, agave nectar, and jalapeo into the shaker. To make a margarita pitcher, in a pitcher stir together: 3 jalapeno peppers, sliced (24 to 32 slices) 1 cups tequila. This skinny jalapeno margarita is simply made with lime juice, silver tequila, honey, and some jalapeno + cilantro. Moisten the rim of 2 margarita glasses with water and dip into salt. Because really, is there anything better than chips & salsa and a cocktail? Not in my book. Pour 1/4 to 1/2 inch of salt onto a small, shallow plate. The jalapeno syrup when made as written has almost no jalapeno flavor (and the jalapenos I had are definitely flavorful). Typically, it’ll replace the triple sec with a sugar-free alternative and uses fresh lime juice instead of a pre-made mix. To serve, add ice to 6 individual glasses and divide prepared margarita mixture evenly. A skinny margarita has fewer calories and uses less sugar. Garnish with slices of lime and jalapeo, if you like. Strain into each margarita glass or rocks glass filled with ice. Shake for 20 to 30 seconds to chill well. Strain into a small pitcher or another jar and set in the fridge to chill until your guests arrive. 2 For the margaritas: Combine the jalapeo tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and agave syrup in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. The longer the jalapeños sit, the spicier the drink will be. Cover the jar tightly and shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Combine the cucumbers, mint (if using), tequila, orange liquor, lime juice, and jalapeños in a large pitcher. It’s May 1st people and you know what that means? Only 5 more days until one of my favorite holidays – Cinco de Mayo!Ĭinco de Mayo wouldn’t be complete with chips & guac, and of course, a margarita. Add 12 ounces of tequila and 6 slices of jalapeno and fill jar with ice.
